Who we are and What we do
The Faye Knowles‑Chapman Foundation is a not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to empowering young women with clear, accessible information about cervical cancer and the importance of early screening. Inspired by Faye’s story, the foundation works to ensure that no one feels unheard, dismissed, or unsupported when seeking help.
Our mission is to help educate & raise awareness by providing guidance and resources but also by having open conversations to help young women understand cervical cancer, recognise symptoms, and feel confident advocating for their own health.
We also help advocate for early screening by actively campaigning for the national cervical screening age to be lowered, ensuring that younger women who may be at risk can access screening without unnecessary barriers.
Finally, we offer support & assistance by listen to anyone who feels they have a genuine need for screening, regardless of age. Where appropriate, the foundation can try to help individuals navigate the healthcare system and may offer financial support for private screening when NHS access is not available.

Our Team
To enable us to run our foundation and offer support to those who need it we have small team of volunteers.
Eileen
Eileen is the backbone of the foundation. As Faye’s mum, she pours so much love and energy into making sure the foundation can reach and support as many young women as possible.
Her official role within the foundation is treasurer, but she wears many hats — from helping organise events to getting stuck into fundraising.
The foundation simply wouldn’t be what it is without her steady guidance, hard work, and the personal dedication she brings to honouring Faye’s memory.
Pauline
Pauline was Faye’s auntie, so she too has a deeply personal connection to the foundation and everything it stands for. Pauline is the chairman, but she’s also one of the first people you’ll see at any event, fundraiser, or activity we run.
Her support and enthusiasm play a big part in helping us raise the funds we need to keep the foundation’s work going.
Andy
Andy was Faye’s uncle, and he’s played a big part in helping shape the foundation into what it is today. His role is secretary, which basically means he helps keep everything organised and running as it should.
He’s the one making sure the behind‑the‑scenes stuff is in order, so the rest of the team can focus on supporting young women and raising awareness. The foundation really benefits from his steady, practical approach and the care he puts into his work.
